Once in Spirit Lake, go west on Main St. through the town.  Stay on Main Street for about a 1/4 mile.

 

25 miles to Coeur d'Alene

40 miles to Spokane Washington

7 Miles to Athol

11 miles to Rathdrum

 

  • Fishing - Spirit Lake is rated the best for Kokanee fish, with many other species present.  Spirit Lake is 6 1/2 miles lone and up to 90' deep.  Just off the beaten track with on of the best northwestern views of scenery and wildlife.
  • Enjoy an evening on the beach, watch the sun set and hear the coyotes call.  Possibly see a moose come down to the lake for a drink.
  • Explore Spirit Lake by canoe; or go swimming.   There is a public boat launch just across the road from the Fireside.
  • Mountain bike the extensive trail system.   Just out the door and across the road and you are ready to ride.
  • Biplane rides available in the city of Athol.
  • Silverwood Theme Park - choice of three roller coaster rides, water slides, everything for every age.  7 miles from Fireside.
  • Shopping - there are more than 50 factory outlets, a modern mall, speciality stores and numerous antique stores nearby.  In the summer there are weekend flea-markets close by.
  • Golf - 2 - 18 hole courses and a Par 3 within seven miles.
  • Take a leisurely stroll through the town of Spirit Lake.  The town has the largest number of historical buildings still standing in Idaho.
